Yeast Rolls

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Cups Warm Water

  • 2 Packages Yeast

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

  • 1 Tsp. Salt

  • 5 Tbsp. Shortening, Softened

  • 1 Egg

  • 5 to 6 Cups Flour

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine the water and yeast together in a bowl and set aside for at least 10 minutes. In another bowl, combine the sugar, salt, shortening, and egg together. Add the yeast water to the mixture. Add enough flour to make a soft dough and knead it for 4 minutes. Shape the dough into a ball and grease its surface. Leave the dough to rise in a bowl for 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Break the dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
