Apple Marshmallow Yam Bake

From the Kitchen of Gaynell Dodge of Big Sandy, Tennessee

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Apples, Sliced

  • 1/4 Cup of Pecans, Chopped

  • 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar

  • Margarine or Butter

  • 1/2 Tsp. of Cinnamon

  • 2 (17 Oz.) Cans of Yams

  • 1 Bag of Marshmallows

INSTRUCTIONS

     Preheat oven to 350ºF degrees. Slice and toss your apples and chopped nuts with brown sugars and cinnamon. Alternate layers of apples and yams  in 1½ quart casserole dish. Dot top with patties of margarine or butter. Cover dish and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Once out, sprinkle top with marshmallows and bake again until browned. Serves 6 to 8.
