Holiday Baked Ham

  • 1 Half Ham (With Bone)

  • 2 Liter bottle of Cola

  • 2 Liter Bottle of Ginger Ale

  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

  • 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup

  • Maraschino Cherries (For Garnish)

  • Pineapple (For Garnish)


Place ham into stockpot, and pour cola and ginger ale over top. If liquid does not completely cover ham, add water to raise levels. Add brown sugar to liquid. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours.  Preheat oven to 325ºF. Transfer ham to a large baking pan. Save 3 to 4 cups of liquid from stock pot, and pour remaining liquid into bottom of baking pan. Mix maple syrup with reserved stock pot liquid and baste entire ham occasionally during baking. Bake ham for 2 hours or until golden brown. Garnish ham with cherries and pineapple for last 30 minutes of cooking.
