Pizza Pinwheels

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Can Crescent Roll Dough
    Flour

  • 1 Small Jar of Pizza Sauce
    (Or Plain Tomato Sauce)

  • 1/3 Cup Mozzarella Cheese,
    Shredded

  • 1/3 Cup Mozzarella Cheese,
    Shredded

INSTRUCTIONS

     Preheat your oven to 350ºF degrees. Open your can of crescent dough and fold it over a couple times to keep the seams from separating. Sprinkle the sides of the dough with a little flour and roll it out with a rolling pin into a rectangle until it is about ¼ of an inch thick. Try to work quickly so your dough doesn’t get too warm and hard to handle. Spread the pizza sauce thinly and evenly across the whole piece of dough. Sprinkle your cheese evenly over the dough. At this point, add any additional toppings that you desire. Make sure to dice your extra toppings into small pieces to ensure a tidy roll.

    Roll the dough up as evenly as possible while keeping it as tight as you can without feeling like you are squashing it. Cut slices off the end of the roll about ¾ inch thick and place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake pinwheels for 12 to 15 minutes or until done.
